IMPORTANT PUBLIC NOTICE

RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR THE ACQUISITION OF REAL PROPERTY OF THE DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL RESOURCES OF THE COMMONWEALTH OF PUERTO RICO (Spanish Version Only)

The Department of Natural and Environmental Resources of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, in accordance with Section 2.1 of Act Number 170 of August 12, 1988, as amended, known as the “Uniform Administrative Procedure Act of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico”, publishes this Notice for the above mentioned proposed Regulation.

These rules and regulations are adopted in conformity with dispositions of the Governor Executive Order Number 4 of January 20, 2004, Act Number 23 of June 20, 1972, as amended, known as the “Organic Act of the Natural Resources Department”, Reorganization Plan Number 4 of December 9, 1993, as amended, Act Number 49 of January 4, 2003, as amended, known as the “Act to Set Forth the Public Policy of Puerto Rico on Flood Prevention and the Preservation of Rivers and Ravines”, Act Number 150 of August 4, 1988, as amended, known as “Puerto Rico Natural Patrimony Program Act”, Act Number 133 of July 1, 1975, as amended, known as the “Forest Act”, Act Number 268 of September 5, 2003, as amended, known as the “Puerto Rico Land Acquisition and Conservation Fund Act”, Act Number 241 of August 15, 1999, as amended, known as the “New Wild Life Act of Puerto Rico”, and Act Number 170 of August 12, 1988, as amended, known as the “Uniform Administrative Procedure Act of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico”. These regulations are adopted to establish uniform rules and procedures for the acquisition of real property by the Department of Natural and Environmental Resources of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.

The text of the proposed rules and regulations will be available during regular government business hours, at the Assistant Secretary of Management Affairs, located at Ninth Floor, Cruz A. Matos Building, Sector El Cinco, Road Number 8838, Km. 6.3, Río Piedras, Puerto Rico.
