Notice for New Fishing Regulation of Puerto Rico
NEW FISHING REGULATION OF PUERTO RICO
Pursuant to the dispositions of Act. 23 of June 20, 1972, as amended, known as the “Department of Natural and Environmental Resources Organic Act”; Act No. 170 of August 12, 1988, as amended, known as “Uniform Administrative Procedure Act”; and by Act. 278 of November 29, 1998, as amended, known as the “Fisheries Law of Puerto Rico”; the Department of Natural and Environmental Resources (DNER) proposes to enforce a new Fisheries Regulation and abolish Fisheries Regulation No. 6768 of March 11, 2004, as amended.
The purpose of this regulation is to administer the fisheries within Puerto Rico jurisdictional waters.
We are informing that the draft of the New Fisheries Regulation of Puerto Rico has been completed and will be available for inspection and receipt of written comments during the regular business hours of 7:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. in the Office of the Clerk of the DNER. Moreover, the text of the New Fishery Regulation can be found in our website: www.drna.gobierno.pr and in the Municipal Halls of coastal towns across Puerto Rico.
During the next thirty (30) days following the publishing of this notice, the public may submit written comments in the times and address established previously, by email to: reglamentopesca@drna.gobierno.pr or to one of the following addresses:
